G’day mates! And a Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the mommies out there! Here we are, half way through another month and 1 week closer to the big 3rd anniversary of this this we call the NAPCast! Can you hardly believe it!? I know I can’t. I’m not always sure how many people actually read this nonsense I write but I’m always happily surprised and honored when so many tell me they do! Even people not REQUIRED by friendship! Y’all are the bee’s knees 🙂 May is also flying by because of how jam packed it’s been with heavy hitting DJs rolling through the Midwest!

Our dudes Hollow Point and Antik One (together as Point One) put down a killer set of dubby riddim goodness for the good folks at the Eprom show – put on by our friends at Collage Arts & Entertainment – on Saturday. Next week more of the crew is rolling east to Columbus once again to catch the very elusive Dom & Roland!! Rumor on the streets is that Indy is looking down the barrel of some impressive talent from the dnb pool rolling through this summer too, so be prepared and stay on high alert for more news on that as it comes. Needless to say, I’m exhausted from a half a year of never ending goodness, but also upping the ante on my cardio conditioning so that my dancing feet will keep up with all the parties yet to come!

And since I’m old, and still struggling through recovery from Saturday, I’m feeling hashtag blessed for having this mix from Curtis Jones to get me over the start of the week blues. Curtis Jones reminds me of name you’d hear for a radio disc jockey back in the 90s who would host those late late night request shows that played the smooth hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and got you in the mood for looooove. Curtis Jones would be the smoothest guy on the air waves, and all the ladies would love him. Now, while Mr. Jones is in fact one smooth dude, I’m not sure he takes requests nor do I think he’s in the business of instructing people on their love lives. Maybe he is, I dunno. The mystery is yours to unravel. What he is in the business of is making that bass drop and working the beat until you’re soaking in sweat and loving it. This week’s NAPCast is another hour of jump-up favorites, with a dark side. No doubt a great one to plug into when you realize it’s half way through the work day and haven’t accomplished anything, so you really need the unrelenting builds and heavy hitting bass to keep you focused! Let this one strip the filth of the weekend off your mind (we all know what you did, your mothers would be ASHAMED) and we will see you next week!
