Ugh, you guys…this weekend destroyed me. Between honoring the sacred holiday on Friday and then bouncing over to Columbus on Saturday to soak in all the Jungle love at the In:Direct Audio DNB BBQ with none other than Paradox, I’m not sure where I left my brain. This girl is running on fumes trying to muster the strength to press keys and say snappy things about music. I’m still just trying to process all that I heard and saw from the homies in C-bus and especially from Paradox. All the knobs and buttons and synths and keyboards. It was undoubtedly one of the most original performances of any genre that I’ve witnessed. OK GO is the one band in the world who holds that title twice in my top ten and now Paradox enters easily in the top 5.
To get me ready for the end of this badass weekend, I got to plug in with this week’s NAPCast. While the name makes you think “Virgin NAPCaster”, you’d be thinking wrong. Aseity is a new name, but not a new player in the game. I don’t know if he wants me to share his top-secret identity with y’all, so you’ll just have to wonder. Nice groovy vibe inside, even when things went on the harder side. Every Sunday evening calls for some liquid rollers and I was happy to find some of my favorites making appearances. There’s even some fun turntablism work that adds just the right amount of “extra” to the chunes! As always, you should stop taking my word for it at this point and getting into this dopeness from Aseity!
