Holy smokes boys and girls, here we are again! Not only back, but with the last NEW mix of the year! Next week will be our traditional trip down memory lane and pick for Top NAPCast of 2017. As always, I’m not sure I will be able to pick just one, however, the ace in the hole might just be this week’s submission. Now this one might not be new to your ears if you made your way out to the Mel like I told you to do last week. BUT since, we really like you guys, we figured we’d go ahead and share it with the rest of you who couldn’t make it. If you were lucky enough to hear it in real time, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the replay as much as I did today.
NAPCast 184 comes to you from the freshly-styled one like Johnny Utah. Inside is a winter vibe journey that drowns you in dark, toasty wubbing bass lines. As always, Utah brought an excellent variety of genre, moving from grumbling techstep, rollers, and half-time into the subtly heavy liquid. This set was filled with many, many of my favorite tunes from the last couple of years, packed with goodies from Alix Perez, SpectraSoul, Lenzman and so many others I’m forgetting. On more than one occasion during this set I found myself getting giddy over yet ANOTHER favorite track being brought in. Not that I ever need reminding, but this was yet another hour of reminders why Johnny Utah is most definitely my favorite DJ in the entire city. For those of you who heard it in real time, I hope you enjoy this revisit. For those of you just now getting the taste, let this be a lesson to you. Tuesdays can be a damn heady experience, with excellent selectas the whole night through. So come get yo self some live action on the regular starting in 2018! Let this be your year of DNB devotion! In the meantime, vibe out with Utah for the rest of 2017
